PayLeft Privacy Policy
Effective October 17, 2026. Published by KTSE LLC.
PayLeft is a paycheck-planning app for iPhone. It estimates what's left after the bills and spending you enter. This policy explains what information PayLeft handles, where it stays, and the choices you have. KTSE LLC ("we") develops PayLeft and publishes this website.
In short
- Your plans stay on your iPhone. We don't receive them.
- There are no accounts, and PayLeft doesn't connect to your bank.
- The app has no ads, no analytics or tracking tools, and no third-party code that collects data.
- PayLeft Pro purchases are made and managed through Apple. We never see your payment details.
- Your saved plans may be included in your iPhone's iCloud or computer backup, depending on your backup settings.
What you enter
To work out a plan, you can enter:
- the dates you're planning for and your payday;
- your starting balance, and whether your account is overdrawn;
- your take-home pay, and any extra pay you want to compare;
- bills (a name, an amount and a due date) and other planned spending (a name and an amount);
- an amount of money to set aside;
- with PayLeft Pro, regular bills and spending (a name, a usual amount and an optional note).
You choose the names and notes. Please don't enter account numbers, passwords or other sensitive details in them.
Where it's stored
While you work, your plan is held in the app's memory. It's written to your iPhone only when you save it (Save progress, Save plan or Save changes), or when you add or change a regular bill or spending item. Saved information is kept in the app's private storage on that iPhone.
PayLeft doesn't send your plans or regular items to us or to anyone else, and it doesn't sync them between devices. Unsaved changes are lost if the app is closed.
Backups
Like other app data, your saved plans and regular items may be included in your iPhone's iCloud Backup or in a backup on your computer, depending on your iPhone's settings. Those backups are handled by Apple or by your computer, under your settings and their terms. We don't have access to them. Restoring a backup to an iPhone can bring your saved plans back.
PayLeft Pro and Apple
PayLeft Pro is an optional subscription bought through Apple with your Apple Account. Apple processes the payment, renewal, cancellation and any refund. We don't receive your card or payment details.
To know whether PayLeft Pro is active, the app asks Apple's StoreKit system on your iPhone. The app doesn't send this information to us. Apple provides us with sales and subscription reports through its developer tools; Apple decides what those reports contain. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Crash reports from Apple
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may give us crash reports and usage statistics about the app. Apple decides what these contain.
Advertising and tracking
PayLeft doesn't show ads, doesn't track you across apps or websites, and doesn't sell or share your information.
Feedback and support
The Privacy policy, Support and Send feedback links in the app open in Safari, outside the app. Nothing from your plan is sent with them.
The feedback form is a Google Form. You don't need to sign in to use it, and it doesn't automatically record your name or email address, even if you're signed in to Google. We receive whatever you choose to include in your answers, and Google also handles them under Google's terms. If you email us, we receive your email address and your message. Please don't include financial details in feedback or emails.
We use feedback form responses and support emails only to respond to you and to improve PayLeft. We review them by hand every three months and delete those we no longer need. We delete each one within twelve months of receiving it: at every review, we also delete anything that would reach twelve months before the next review. This is a manual process, not automatic deletion, and deleting an email includes removing it from our mailbox's trash.
To ask us to delete something you sent sooner, email info@ktseconsulting.com. Because the form doesn't automatically record names or email addresses, please tell us roughly when you sent your feedback and what it said, so we can find it. Once we can identify your submission, we'll delete it from the form responses and mailbox we control, including any copies there, such as our replies.
Deleting your information
- To delete a saved plan or draft: in the app, go to Saved and tap Delete on that plan.
- To delete a regular bill or spending item: in Saved, tap Manage regular items, open the item and tap Delete regular item.
- Deleting the app removes all of its saved plans and regular items from that iPhone. Copies already in an iCloud or computer backup stay in that backup until the backup is replaced or deleted.
- Deleting the app doesn't cancel PayLeft Pro. Subscriptions are cancelled through Apple.
Because we never receive your plans, we can't view, recover or delete them for you. When your PayLeft Pro subscription ends, nothing is deleted: your saved plans and regular items stay on your iPhone, and you can still open, change and delete them.
